Great Dane Pea (Pisum sativum) This Danish Heirloom is another gifted gem from Guri Dahl of Oslow, Norway. His note stated that this pea could grow up to 7-8 ft tall, he wasn't kidding! Next year we will add another 3 feet of trellising for this prolific shelling pea. The Great Dane produces very large pods containing five peas. Plants are very sturdy and show no signs of mildew in our trials. This is a wonderful and RARE heirloom pea.
