Cherokee Green Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) - Tomato enthusiast Craig LeHoullier made this selection from the Cherokee Purple heirloom. A uniquely coloured and very flavourful medium sized tomato borne on indeterminate vines. Green fruits can ripen to a yellowish-orange colour on the blossom end. This is a surprisingly tasty green variety compared to many other green varieties having a more complex acidity level. We feel most green tomatoes are underrated, so if you are going to try one, Green Cherokee is highly recommended!
