Green Nutmeg Melon (Citrus melo)This is very sweet and delicious heirloom Nutmeg melon (aka Rockmelon or Green Cantaloupe), first noted by Fearing Burr in his 1860's publication titled, “Field and Vegetables of America”. Produces 4-5 fragrant 4 inch, green fleshed melons per plant. A very reliable old time favourite that can be picked a few days earlier than most other melons. Best flavour is derived through warm and drier growing conditions. Do not over over-water once fruit is formed.
