Lida Ukrainian Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) - A rare heirloom from northeastern Ukraine, Lida made its way to North America by the early 1900s, with seed offerings appearing in Midwestern catalogs by 1922. This medium-sized, regular-leaf tomato is often described as determinate, though semi-determinate better reflects its vigorous growth habit. Productive plants yield abundant 4β5 oz red, globe-shaped fruits through mid-season and well into October. Sweet with a hint of acidity, these tomatoes capture the classic heritage flavour and are perfect for slicing, canning, or fresh salsas. Hardy, disease-resistant, and versatile, Lida Ukrainian is a resilient treasure for any garden.
Semi-determinate growth.
65β70 days to maturity from transplant.
25 seeds per packet.
