Coreopsis 'Lights of Morden' (Coreopsis lanceolata) Another floral gem grown by Emil & Elsie Byrka of Morden, Manitoba. This Coreopsis variety, also a perennial, has typical golden blooms but with a sun-burned red ring wrapping around the inner pedals. This is the only Coreopsis Emil & Elsie have grown and it has bloomed brilliantly each season for over 30 years in the same location. (Zone 3b) Plants have responded very well to our Maritime climate. We are pleased to offer a limited quantity of seeds for the first time in 2023.

Growing Information: Start coreopsis seeds indoors, press into soil but do not cover. Needs light to germinate. Kept at 65° F., germination occurs in 20-30 days. Transplant into the garden approx. 12-15 inches apart. Seeds can be sown outdoors in the late fall to enhance spring germination.
