Livingston’s Gold Ball Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Introduced to the market in 1892 by Alex Livingston. He referred to it as the “little yellow egg…a gem of a tomato, the best I have ever seen for preserves.”  Bright golden yellow, round fruits of 1.5” in diameter produced on are very prolific indeterminate plants. Golden Balls have thick flesh and few seeds. Fruits are persistent, remaining on vines well beyond maturity.
