Long Purple Fingerling Eggplant (Solanum melongena) A classic Italian heirloom, producing 8 + miniature slim long purple eggplant per plant. Bitter free white flesh is firm and delicious on young sweet fruit, discard large overripe fruit (unless you are a seed saver). Thrives in cool climates, maturing in under 65 days in most regions of Canada. We were harvesting for consumption around 62-65 days here in Nova Scotia. (Zone 5b) Very easy to grow and a highly prolific fruit producer.

Planting Instructions: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow 1/4 inch deep and keep soil warm. Transplant into 1 inch cells or 2 inch pots at 1-2 leaf stage. Harden off plants for 4-5 days after risk of frost has passed. Transplant outdoors once day and night temperatures are consistently above 10 degrees Celsius.
