Martino’s Roma Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) This is one of the best paste tomatoes for salsa and sauces, but can also be utilized as a great slicer in salads. A plum shaped fruit containing few seeds, has good disease resistance and is fairly easy to grow. Determinate plants are compact and require little staking or support. A very consistent yielding heirloom of 2-3 oz tomatoes.

Planting Instructions: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost. Sow 1/4 inch deep and keep soil warm. Transplant into 1 inch cells or 2 inch pots at 1-2 leaf stage. Harden off plants for 4-5 days after risk of frost has passed, then transplant outdoors.Transplant outdoors once day and night temperatures are consistently above 10 degrees Celsius.
