Mary Sulyk Early Scarlet Globe Radish
Mary Sulyk Early Scarlet Globe Radish (Raphanus sativus) For over 100 years this summer radish has been a family favourite. We were lucky enough to have a few family members continue growing this original heirloom, which originally grew next to my great Aunt Mary Sulyk’s Sweet William flowers in Glencairn, MB. After two years of trials here on our Nova Scotia farm, we are pleased to offer open pollinated selected seed from this vibrantly bright red skinned 1 inch Globe Radish. Mild tasting crispy white flesh make it a good salad addition or simply fantastic on its own with a pinch of sea salt!
25-28 days to maturity
100 seeds per packet $3.50
Planting Instructions: Direct sow Spring Radish varieties when soil temperatures are 18 degrees Celsius. Sow at 1/4 inch deep.
