Moon & Stars Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) A wonderfully unusual heirloom (1926) whose big round to oval dark green fruits are overlaid with yellow moons on a field of tiny gold star markings. The same markings appear on the leaves, often alarming first time growers that there is a disease issue present! Very juicy-sweet, 25-40 pound melons with pink-red flesh. A delicious tasting watermelon that has made a resurgence amongst many gardeners!
