Moonshine Spaghetti Squash (Cucurbita pepo) One of the few heirloom varieties of squash that we were fortunate enough to retain from the original Guryn family homestead, c. 1909. There was a story that a tobacco can of these seeds were obtained in the 1940’s by my great uncle in exchange for a jar of moonshine! The squash were often referred to by family members as the ‘moonshine pumpkins’. It is a hardy, shorter season and very prolific variety containing 0% alcohol.
