Old Time Tennessee Muskmelon (Cucumis melo) 100 days — A very old heritage variety that nearly went out of circulation and near extinction, likely because of its shorter storage life. It is intended to be picked when fully ripe for best flavour. At this golden-yellow stage the fruit will not ship or transport well but taste absolutely fabulous! The fruit s are football shaped (12-16”), weighing an average of twelve pounds. The sweet aroma of this muskmelon can be detected for hundreds of feet when ripe! An excellent garden-to-table melon!
