Immortelle Paper Flower (Double Petal) - (Xeranthemum annuum) Native to Europe, also known as annual everlasting or immortelle. Multi-stemmed 18-24” tall plants produce elegant 1-1.5-inch double papery blooms in pink, white and lavender hues. An excellent xeriscape plant as it thrives in poor soils and dry conditions. One of our top producers in the 2025 drought of Nova Scotia. A beautiful annual with a long flowering period, makes a great cut flower.

Growing Instructions: Start indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost or direct sow after frost. Sow seeds on the soil surface and press lightly—do not cover, as light is required. Keep soil moist under bright light. Seeds germinate in 10–21 days.
Harden off seedlings for 7–10 days before transplanting outdoors. Space plants 20–25 cm apart in full sun with well-drained soil. This compact, long-blooming annual produces double-petaled, papery flowers ideal for fresh or dried arrangements.
