Peruvian Red Zinnia (Zinnia peruviana) - This annual Zinnia species originates from South America and Mexico, brought to England and North America by botanists in the early 1800s. Gorgeous 1.5 - 2 inch buff, brick-red flowers are quite uniform as they float atop erect fluted stems, reaching heights of 24 inches! Peruvian Zinnias will attract many pollinators to your gardens and are easy to grow. Plants do exhibit a prolonged bloom period, however, petal colour will fade to a bronze-red hue by fall. Great as a mass planting species and makes a perfect cut flower.
