Pink Beauty Radish (Raphanus sativus) A very uniform and reliable magenta-pink round radish that is simply delicious! One of the most crisp textured white-fleshed and sweet tasting radish varieties we have ever grown. Your taste buds will also detect a hint of spice a few seconds after the first bite! These heirloom seeds had been sitting in our vault for a few years…why did we wait so long to finally sow them? The seeds were sent to us in 2019 from a market grower/customer west of Fredericton NB. These folks have been growing this variety for over three decades on their family farm.

Planting Instructions: A fast-growing, cool-season crop that is easy to grow and ideal for early and late-season planting. Direct sow spring radish varieties as soon as the soil can be worked in spring, when soil temperatures reach around 18°C (65°F), and again in late summer for fall harvests. Sow seeds ½ cm (¼ in) deep and thin seedlings to 2–5 cm (1–2 in) apart, with rows spaced 20–30 cm (8–12 in). Radishes prefer full sun and loose, well-drained soil. Keep soil consistently moist for best flavor and to prevent bitterness. For continuous harvest, sow every 4–5 weeks and harvest promptly once roots reach usable size, as radishes become woody if left too long.
