Pink Plume Celery (Apium graveolens) First marketed in the late 1800’s by the Peter Henderson & Company Seed House of New York. By 1903 Pink Plume became very popular with gardeners and was offered by over 100 different seed companies across North America. Its compact plants offer an abundance of thin purple flushing on the stalks and leaf tips. This is a very strongly complex flavoured celery that can be described as ‘sweet with an intense, almost fennel-like, flavour’.
