Ruthie’s Red Rudbeckia Daisy (Rudbeckia hirta) - A selection from the perennial gardens of Ruthie Colville of Moshers Corner, Nova Scotia. We noticed these very deep rusty-orange petalled Rudbeckia in the summer of 2020. Apparently they had originally been divided from a well-aged stand existing on our century farm, although we have no evidence of the original stand. They are now thriving again in our northern field offering their nectar each year to a steady stream of bumble bees.
