San Marzano Paste Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) - A classic Italian heirloom tomato, widely appreciated for its rich flavour and meaty texture. The plants produce abundant clusters of elongated, deep-red fruits with thick, firm flesh, small seed cavities and relatively little juice. These qualities make San Marzano an excellent choice for homemade pasta sauces, tomato paste, canning and preserving. The indeterminate vines continue producing throughout the growing season and benefit from sturdy staking or caging. A favourite among home gardeners who enjoy turning their harvest into flavourful sauces and preserved tomatoes.
