Styrian Hulless Pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo) This heirloom pumpkin variety is originally from Styria, in southern Austria. It was grown for its large hull less green seeds that were pressed to make highly nutritious oil. Vines are prolific and require some room. Pumpkin skin is green, striped with light orange at maturity. Styrian pumpkin seeds can be a bit tough to germinate since they lack the white protective hull. Wait until the soil has warmed or use a heat mat if stating indoors and eep soil from becoming too wet as they can rot easily.
