Alderman Tall Telephone Pea (Pisum sativum) Introduced by plant breeder Thomas Laxton around 1891 and first offered for sale by Burpee in 1901. Alderman is a tall growing variety that needs staking/support. At Revival, we trellis Alderman using 4 foot fencing much like planting runner beans. This variety does need frequent picking.
