Ukrainian Comrades Bush Snap Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) A rare heirloom snap bean with both yellow and green beans (on separate plants, hence the name ‘Comrades’). This bush bean originates from the Ukraine and produces a mix of striking gold and dark brown bean seeds. Likely brought to North America by Peace Corp volunteers who had been working in Yalta, Ukraine, in the early 1990's. The black beans in the mix yield larger plants and pods whereas the tan beans produce more slender, yellow pods.
