Vilmorin Garden Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) A French heirloom from the Vilmorin Garden dating back to the mid 1800’s. Also referred to as Asparagus Lettuce. Green leaves are long with purple frosted edges. A very tender, buttery and sweet wavy leaf type. We sow this variety in the very early days of spring and again in fall. A very prolific producer in cool damp weather.
