Canterbury Bells ‘White” (Campanula medium) As fragrant as most sweet peas, this old time biennial flower has showy white bell-shaped flowers that continue to show from late spring to mid-summer. Grows best in full sun and in well-drained soils. Re-sow every two years.

Start indoors in a growing mix in late January for a chance at first season blooms. Germinates best at 20° C Surface sow, cover seed lightly and keep moist. Reduce temperature before hardening off and transplanting to a sunny to partially shaded site in the garden. Seeds can also be sown directly in the garden in May or again in September.
